Band Notes – Feb 10, 2025 … –

Hello Bengal Band parents, guardians & students,

Here are some quick band reminders. 

  1. Binders/Pencils – We’ve asked the students to have a binder & pencil that is dedicated just to band. Students have a lot of music, and binders ensure they keep up with it. 
  2. Solo Contest –The Intermediate & Advanced Solo Contest will be held during their band class on Wed, Feb 19th.   Students, please wear “Sunday Best” for the contest.
  3. Music Composition Assignment – Compose 8 measures of music! Directions are below and completed submissions need to be submitted here. Deadline is Fri, Feb 28th.
  4. Last Fundraiser – Last call for the last fundraiser – Snap Fundraiser.  Join Code is 813425341 and the link to join is here. Deadline to participate is next Fri, Feb 14th.  Please note that the fundraiser is optional.  Basically, one pledge gets your student into the End of Year Party or the party can be paid for here.  The cost is $17.

Band Notes – Sept 9, Int/Adv …. 

Hello Bengal Band parents/students!

We have started to make sounds on our instruments and are on our way to being outstanding musicians! 

Here are a few band notes:   

1)  Calendar –  Band Calendar has been updated!

2)  Fundraiser – We are working with Adrenaline Fundraising tomorrow, Sept 10 for our first fundraiser of the year. As with any fundraiser, student participation is optional.  More details on attachment. 

          *12 Year Old Rule – If your child is 12 or under, there is one extra step that is required (get a code from the parents). Those students are encouraged to sign up today on this website or Raise 365 App in order to complete that extra step.  (Fundraiser Code is 23466864)

          *Reward Party – Students who receive at least 2 donations, get a Fundraiser Reward Party on Fri, Oct 4th. from 4-6pm. If parents would like to opt out of the fundraiser and just pay for the party, the cost is $15 and can be paid here. 

3)  Background Checks – If you would like to volunteer for that Reward Party OR any other future band event, you must fill out a NISD Background Check. It takes around 3 minutes to fill it out online.  If you are a NISD employee, your background check is on file. The background check form can be found here.  Please do this asap as it can take up to a couple of weeks to process.
